Green Frogspawn

Overview

The Green Frogspawn (Euphyllia divisa) is the quintessential “swaying” coral that most hobbyists dream of when they start a reef tank. It is famous for its multi-tipped tentacles that resemble clusters of frog eggs. While there are many designer morphs, the classic Green Frogspawn—with its emerald tentacles and contrasting white or pink tips—remains a top-tier choice for adding movement and “fill” to a display.

Coloration: Translucent to bright green tentacles with blue tips.
Growth Pattern: Branching (most common) or Wall (stony base).
Lighting: Moderate (PAR 120–200).
Water Flow: Medium (Low enough to allow full extension without “clumping”).
Feeding: Optional but beneficial; will accept mysis or finely chopped meaty foods.
Aggressiveness: High (has sweeper tentacles).
Care Level: Moderate.
