The Glitter Bomb Goniopora is the “superstar” of the flowerpot corals. It earned its name from its explosive, multi-colored appearance that looks like a burst of confetti under reef lighting. This specific morph is famous for its high-contrast “eyes” and shimmering tentacles. Usually, it features a deep red or maroon base, but each polyp is tipped with shimmering gold, yellow, or even teal “glitter.” When the polyps are fully extended and swaying in the current, the movement creates a sparkling effect that is almost unrivaled in the LPS (Large Polyp Stony) world.

Coloration: Neon green with silver sparkles and pink centers

Size: 0.5–1 inch frag

Lighting: Moderate (100–180 PAR; intense light can “wash out” the gold glitter effect or cause the red base to bleach)

Water flow: Medium and Turbulent (the “stalks” should wave freely but shouldn’t be flattened by a direct powerhead stream)

Feeding: Highly Recommended; like most Goniopora, the Glitter Bomb thrives with target feeding of liquid phytoplankton or ultra-fine powdered coral foods

Aggressiveness: Semi-aggressive (while it lacks long sweepers, its tentacles can stretch quite far and may irritate sensitive neighbors)

Care Level: Moderate (requires stable Magnesium and Manganese levels; it is generally heartier than wild green species but still demands consistency)
