Platygyra is famous for its “meandrine” skeletal structure, where the coral forms winding, valley-like ridges that resemble a brain or a complex maze.
Coloration: Green to dark purple ridges with light purple valleys
Size: Large cology larger than a hand
Lighting: Medium (PAR 150–250)
Water flow: Medium (indirect/turbulent)
Feeding: Target feed meaty foods (mysis/brine) or LPS pellets at night
Aggressiveness: High (possesses very long, powerful sweeper tentacles)
