Red Deaths Zoas

The Red Death Zoanthid is a legendary “old school” collector coral that remains one of the most striking red morphs in the hobby. Unlike many other zoas that rely on neon greens or oranges, the Red Death is prized for its deep, crimson-to-blood-red coloration and high-contrast “veining” on the face. It is a slow-to-moderate grower compared to common zoas, which adds to its prestige and “collector” status. Because of its dark, moody palette, it provides an incredible visual break from the bright fluorescent colors typically found in a reef tank.

Coloration: Deep crimson red plate with dark “veined” patterns and a dark or charcoal-colored skirt

Feeding: Broadcast feeding of amino acids or liquid coral foods
