Stylophora coral, commonly referred to as “Stylo” or “Club Finger Coral,” is a classic SPS coral that is beloved for its thick, branching structure and furry appearance. Unlike many other SPS corals that have very thin branches, Stylophora grows robust, rounded branches that can create a beautiful bushy colony. The “Stylo 4” or similar varieties are often selected for their intense coloration and resilience. They are generally considered one of the hardier SPS corals, making them an excellent “bridge” coral for hobbyists transitioning from LPS to more demanding stony corals.
