Colorization

Size

Green Nephtheidae typically grows upward and requires adequate space above its placement to accommodate expansion, making it suitable for medium to large reef setups. Will come on a 0.5 – 1 inch frag plug.

Lighting

Optimal growth occurs under medium lighting conditions, ideally between 50-150 PAR. Too intense lighting may inhibit polyp extension, while moderate light encourages healthy development.

Water Flow

Strong water movement is essential for this coral. The coral periodically retracts its polyps and secretes a waxy film to prevent nuisance algae growth, a natural and healthy behavior aided by adequate flow.

Feeding

Though heavily reliant on its symbiotic zooxanthellae for nutrition, Green Nephtheidae also benefits from supplemental feeding of phytoplankton and small microfauna present in the water column.

Aggressiveness
