Purple and Yellow Torch

The Purple and Yellow Torch Coral (Euphyllia glabrescens) is a breathtaking, high-end centerpiece coral that brings dynamic motion and royal color to the upper-middle reef. Highly prized by LPS collectors, this morph features long, flowing purple tentacles tipped with brilliant banana-yellow or golden-neon spheres, surrounding an electric green or yellow oral disc.

Under blue actinic lighting, the vivid contrast between the deep purple stalks and glowing yellow tips creates a mesmerizing fire-like motion as it sways in the current.

Coloration: Deep purple to metallic magenta tentacle stalks, capped with high-contrast bright yellow or gold tips, centered by an electric green or pale yellow mouth.

Growth Pattern: Branching (forms long, calcium carbonate stalks that split over time to create multi-headed colonies). Sold as a single head on a 0.5 – 1 inch frag plug.

Lighting: Moderate (PAR 125–200).

Water Flow: Moderate (Random, indirect flow that keeps tentacles swaying smoothly without whipping them against the skeleton).
