Overview:
The Firework Clove Polyps (Clavularia sp.) are widely considered the “superstars” of the soft coral world. While standard cloves are often a muted brown or green, the Firework variety looks like a literal explosion of color, featuring deep purple or blue feathery tentacles with brilliant neon orange or gold tips and a glowing green center. They provide incredible motion to a reef, swaying gracefully in the current like a field of wildflowers.

Growth Pattern: Stolons (grows a creeping mat across rocks from which individual polyps sprout).
Sold as a frag on a 0.5 – 1 inch frag plug.
Lighting: Low to Medium (PAR 50–150).
Water Flow: Medium (Gentle, indirect flow is best to see them sway).
Feeding: Primarily photosynthetic; benefits from fine particulate foods (e.g., Reef Roids).
