The Green and Blue Yuma Mushroom (Ricordea yuma) is a vibrant, cool-toned favorite that brings a bright electric pop to the floor of a reef display. Distinguished by its textured, bead-like vesicles (bubbles), this color combination typically features an icy blue or deep indigo disc layered with glowing neon green, emerald, or teal bumps, often anchored by a high-contrast mouth.
While closely related to the Ricordea florida, the Yuma species sports vesicles that run all the way up to and around the oral opening—a key dead-giveaway for identification.
Coloration: Electric green to teal vesicles resting on a blue, lavender, or navy disc, frequently centered with a contrasting green or yellow mouth.
Growth Pattern: Solitary to loosely colonial (reproduces primarily through pedal laceration). Sold as 1 head on a 0.5 – 1 inch frag plug.
