Overview

Zoanthids and Palythoas are colonial soft corals celebrated for their rapid budding rates, tapestry-like color diversity, and extreme adaptability. They form encrusting carpet mats comprised of individual polyps connected by a shared tissue layer (coenenchyme).

  • Target Parameters: dKH 7.8–8.5 | Nitrates 5–15 ppm | Phosphates 0.03–0.08 ppm

  • Lighting Spectrum: Heavy Actinic (420–470 nm) for maximum protein fluorescence.

  • Flow Requirements: Low to Moderate multi-directional current to flush detritus without forcing polyp closure.
