The Bright Red and Teal Hong Kong Cynarina (Cynarina lacrymalis) is an absolute grail-tier centerpiece coral. Highly sought after for its vivid “candy-apple” contrast, this imported morph features a fiery, saturated red to ruby-crimson outer ring surrounding a glowing, electric teal or cyan central disc.
Like all Cynarina, it is famous for inflating its translucent tissue into a plush, glass-like jelly donut, allowing light to refract through its fiery red mantle and illuminate the skeletal ridges underneath.
