Favia coral is a beautiful type of Large Polyp Stony (LPS) coral known for its distinct “honeycomb” or “brain” appearance. These corals are popular among reef keepers because they are incredibly hardy and add striking geometric patterns to the rockwork. Green and Black Favias provide a bold, dark contrast that makes the neon greens of the coral really pop under actinic lighting. While they grow slowly, they are long-lived and rewarding additions to a mature reef tank.
