Leptoseris coral, often called “Wrinkle Coral,” is a captivating Small Polyp Stony (SPS) coral that grows by encrusting over rockwork or forming thin, delicate plates. While many SPS corals are demanding, Leptoseris is surprisingly hardy and famous for its intense, metallic fluorescence under blue actinic lighting. The Green Leptoseris is a classic variety, featuring a velvety texture with fine ridges that catch the light. It is an excellent choice for filling in lower-light “dead zones” or vertical rock faces where other corals might struggle to thrive.
